Milton, Ontario - Thru-Way Trailers Launches BladeMaster - The Newest Innovation in Transporting Windmill Blades

Thru-Way Trailers, a leading manufacturer of specialized custom trailers, will unveil their new BladeMaster at the 2008 ConExpo/ConAgg show in Las Vegas. BladeMaster has the most advanced trailer steerable system in North America today.

BladeMaster is a one-of-a-kind trailer designed to transport wind turbine blades easily and effectively. Built around the unique Active Steering Metrics (ASM) designed by VSE leading-edge, trailer-systems engineering firm in Europe, BladeMaster is lighter, safer, more adaptive and cost effective than traditional trailers.

BladeMaster can effortlessly and continuously drive around tighter corners, ideal for transporting long and cumbersome windmill blades.

As the truck turns a signal is sent through the kingpin sensor indicating the radius needed by the rear axles to curve around the corner. This allows for a tighter radius for turning than traditional blade trailers. The BladeMaster can maneuver side roads and windmill site roads easier and faster with less support vehicles; ultimately costing less to transport windmill blades.

The VSE steering technology, industry standard for all European steerable Mercedes and other trucks in Europe, is designed around a software program that can be modified easily to meet individual transport needs. The custom-made ASM technology is a fully-dedicated, microprocessor controlled, electronic overhydraulic steering system.
